Patient Case Details

This woman in her 60’s had a right mastectomy and implant reconstruction on the right for breast cancer.  After radiation, her implant reconstruction was hard, painful, and too high on her chest. Her left breast had an implant augmentation, and it was important to her to stay at a similar size.  After removing her right breast implant, I used her lower belly tissue Stacked DIEP Flap to replace the volume and irradiated skin.  On the left, I exchange her breast implant and did a lift (mastopexy).  Here we see her shortly after a small touch-up surgery.  She is thrilled to be rid of her irradiated implant, and is back to feeling like herself.

Individual results may vary.
