Patient Case Details

This woman in her 20s had a previous breast reduction.  She was now diagnosed with a BRCA mutation that significantly increases her risk of breast cancer and opted to have both her breasts removed.  She really wanted to preserve her nipples and to avoid implants.  When she came to see me, she was concerned that she would not have enough belly tissue for DIEP Flaps.  After extensive evaluation and discussion, I felt that I could get good volume for her.  Here she is just 3 months after nipple-sparing mastectomies and DIEP Flap reconstruction.

Individual results may vary.
